FC Bayern is sending a large number of players to the 2026 World Cup. After a very strong season by the record champions, this comes as little surprise. And many of them have already made an extremely positive impression.

Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, and the rest of the squad played for the German national team and secured a 7-1 victory over Curaçao. Jamal Musiala scored a goal and looked in better form than he has recently.

France’s Michael Olise also picked up an assist with his sweet pass to Kylian Mbappé in France’s victory over Senegal.

But that’s not all: Harry Kane scored twice against Croatia, and Colombia’s Luis Díaz also found the back of the net on the first matchday in his team’s 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan.

Bayern Stars Shine on the Big Stage

Olise, Kane, and Diaz have all been named FIFA Man of the Match. Konrad Laimer won with Austria, Hiroki Ito helped Japan earn a draw against the Netherlands, and South Korea, with Min-jae Kim, also celebrated an opening-match victory.

Only Josip Stanisic with Croatia and Nicolas Jackson and Bara Sapoko Ndiaye with Senegal suffered defeats on the first day of the World Cup.

Following the goals by Kane and Diaz, FC Bayern has now set another record. Players from the record-holding champions have now scored the most World Cup goals.

Here, FC Bayern overtook Real Madrid following the latest developments. Bayern players have scored 83 goals in World Cups so far. And a few more are likely to be added in this tournament, as the FCB stars are in good form and in a scoring mood, and the World Cup has only just begun.
