Metropoles reports that Neymar faces a legal complaint from a former cook, who alleges he made her work up to 14 hours a day in harsh conditions. He has been at Santos since January 2025, having previously played for PSG.

According to the complaint, her contract set hours from seven am to five pm Monday to Thursday, and seven am to four pm on Friday. She worked at Neymar’s residence from July 2025 to February 2026 and has not been named.

The filing says she sometimes finished at 11pm or midnight, worked some weekends, and was told to cook for more than 150 guests.

Lawyers state her duties involved repeated heavy lifting, including carrying meat cuts averaging 10 kg, checking refrigerators, and loading and unloading supermarket shopping. She is said to have developed back problems and hip inflammation.

She says she was paid nearly 7,500 reais a month, around 1,225 euros, about twice the contract rate. She is seeking 262,000 reais, roughly 43,000 euros, for severance, overtime, moral damages, medical costs and alimony.

His representatives did not respond to a request for comment. In November 2023, a worker at his Bougival home accused him of employing her illegally for nearly two years during his PSG spell.
