Neymar completed 90 minutes for Santos in a 1-1 draw with Corinthians on Sunday, a timely run-out before Carlo Ancelotti names Brazil’s squad for home friendlies against France on 26 March and Croatia on 1 April.

L'Équipe notes the forward is on Brazil’s provisional list and has not played for the Seleção since 18 October 2023, a 2-0 defeat to Uruguay. He was rested for Santos’s previous game against Mirassol.

He played the full match and set up Gabriel Barbosa with an inadvertent assist, while Memphis Depay scored for Corinthians.

He showed he could last 90 minutes, but failed with all three dribbles attempted and recorded two shots, neither on target.

Assistant coach Gaston Liendo, deputising for suspended head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda, felt it was neither Neymar’s best nor a bad display. He said the forward was involved and mobile, but a compact defensive block limited support and delivery.

Ancelotti will confirm the final list on Monday. If included, Neymar could face France on 26 March and Croatia on 1 April, both at home and a little over two months before the 2026 World Cup.
