According to Globo.com, Neymar and Gabigol will reunite at Santos 13 years after their only appearance together for the club, despite having played alongside each other more than 15 times for Brazil.
Their sole outing for the Peixe came on 26 May 2013 against Flamengo at the Mané Garrincha in Brasília, the opening round of that year's Campeonato Brasileiro.
It doubled as Neymar's farewell, with his move to Barcelona already agreed. He was visibly emotional during the national anthem, then had a quiet game as Santos drew 0-0.
Gabigol, then 16, made his professional debut from the bench in the second half. He replaced Henrique Dourado after 23 minutes of the half and shared 25 minutes with Neymar, registering two shots that did not trouble goalkeeper Felipe.
Following Neymar's departure, Gabigol later wore the No 11 shirt made famous by the forward and scored in a 2-0 win, celebrating with a bow to the crowd in the style Neymar used against Bolívar in the 2012 Libertadores.
The reunion also brings together two of Santos' most prolific scorers this century. Gabigol sits fifth with 210 appearances and 84 goals, while Neymar leads with 150 goals, one short of entering the club's all-time top 10.
