Neymar paid tribute to Vini Jr with a dance celebration as Santos faced Vasco at Vila Belmiro on Thursday, in the fourth round of the 2026 Brasileirão.

After scoring, the No 10 went to the corner flag and copied his friend's routine from a Champions League match against Benfica. "The dance was for Vini Jr. When he scored his first goal in Portugal they were racist towards him, and I told him, 'I hope you score and do the same celebration, because if I do, I will do it too.' Vini, this is for you," he told NRSports.

That celebration in Portugal is said to have prompted a racist remark from the Argentine Gianluca Prestianni.

Post-match, Neymar shared a video of the dance on social media with the message "Baila Vini Jr".

The Real Madrid forward reposted it with a heart emoji.
