Neymar keeps club future open as he weighs Santos stay, move or retirement

According to AFP, Neymar has left his club future open, saying he will decide whether to remain with Santos, move elsewhere or stop playing.

He had already ended his Brazil career after they were knocked out 1-2 by Norway in the World Cup last 16, then swiftly returned to his boyhood club.

The 34-year-old spoke at a charity auction he hosted in Sao Paulo, adding that he really does not know what he will do when his contract, which runs until December, expires.

After several injury setbacks in recent years, he said he feels in good shape and is taking it step by step, match by match.

His father, Neymar da Silva Santos, answered with humour when asked about the future, saying Neymar loves football and, with no medical degree yet, will carry on playing.
