Neymar was the star in South Korea in his first game since February as PSG ran out easy winners against Jeonbuk Hyundai.
Scorers: Neymar 40′, 83′, Asensio 88′
Making his first appearance since February, Neymar showed why he remains one of the world’s best talents with a virtuous display, grabbing two goals and an assist.
His and PSG’s first didn’t come until the 40th minute, as Jeonbuk made it difficult for their more illustrious opponents. Their resolve was broken by the Brazilian, who fired home a shot from just outside the box to make it 1-0.
It wouldn’t be into the final 10 minutes when the Parisians made the game safe, again Neymar at the heart of it, first finishing inside the box in the 83rd minute after being played in by Fabian Ruiz and then turning provider to Marco Asensio five minutes later.
The game was also notable for who lined up in midfield, with Marco Verratti possibly playing his last game for the club before a move to Al-Hilal and 16-year-old Ethan Mbappé playing alongside him, brother of Kylian.
Could it be case of one Mbappé into the side and one out of the side next season?
