Neymar targets Brazil recall as Santos return stays on track

Neymar says his comeback to Santos remains on schedule and is getting closer, while he looks towards a Brazil call-up.

The forward spoke on Saturday 18 at the Kings League World Cup final, where Brazil beat Chile 6-2 to clinch a second title.

“We are good, everything is going right, the plan is correct. I will be back very soon,” he told X Sports. Asked whether “very soon” meant February, he smiled, “God willing”.

“We started the first World Cup on the right foot. Now we go to the one in June and July. God willing, everything will work out and Brazil will be champions again,” he told CazéTV.

Carlo Ancelotti’s next Brazil squad is due in March for friendlies against France and Croatia in the United States. Neymar has yet to feature under the Italian and hopes to begin pressing his case in that window.
