Wolves are set for a very busy summer transfer window as they look to reshape their squad following relegation to the Championship.
Wolves are preparing for life back in the Championship after a dismal Premier League campaign that saw the club go down without a fight.
Rob Edwards took over from Vitor Pereira in November, inheriting a situation where relegation felt inevitable.
Nevertheless, the manager is coming under increased scrutiny from the support due to the nature of recent performances, and he has a very poor record on the whole since his appointment.

However, Edwards has made it clear that he expects major changes to take place in the summer window, and, whether he remains in charge or not, an overhaul of the playing squad is on the cards over the coming months.
In truth, poor recruitment has been the main factor for Wolves’ demise, as they’ve made many mistakes over the years, and the 2025 summer window was a disaster.
So, it’s vital that they make some shrewd signings, and there is a real pressure on the hierarchy to do quick business for players that can improve the squad.
With that in mind, we look at FIVE players who should be on Wolves’ radar…

The central defender has missed the entire season with a knee injury, so it’s a risky move in that sense, but Webster could be the character and leader that Wolves need at the back.
With Ladislav Krejci likely to leave, and doubts over Santiago Bueno’s future, Wanderers will be in the market for at least one central defender, and Webster fits the bill.
When fit, he is a very good player, and he had starred in the Championship earlier in his career. So, even after his injury, you would expect him to handle the league in terms of his ability.
But, as outlined above, he would also be a vital addition because of what he brings with his personality. This Wolves side lacks know-how, experience and someone who can organise the team from the back.
Conor Coady was that figure in Wolves’ promotion under Nuno Espírito Santo, and Webster could be a similar player in this team if he is willing to drop to the second tier.

Wolves were linked with the FC Twente right-back in January, and it had been claimed that he was open to the move, even though relegation was on the cards.
This is a priority position for the Midlands outfit, and van Rooij would be a huge signing when you look at how well he has performed in the Eredivisie this season.
He has three goals and five assists for FC Twente, who are set to enter the Champions League qualifiers via third-place in the league if they win on the final day.
Therefore, this is obviously going to be a difficult deal to do, and there is a chance Wolves missed their window to sign van Rooij in the winter. But, it’s certainly one to explore given their previous interest, and if they can bring the Dutchman to Molineux it would be a fantastic signing.

With Andre and Joao Gomes almost certain to leave, Wolves will be seeking multiple midfield options, so Nico Raskin should come into their thinking.
The Belgian international has been linked with the club in the past, although it’s unclear whether he would be willing to move to the Championship.
Raskin has been a good player for Rangers over the years, but this summer feels like the right time to move on, with some fans at Ibrox frustrated that he hasn’t helped the club to any silverware, with the Glasgow side enduring another disappointing season without a trophy.
With that in mind, Raskin may not get a Premier League move this summer, so Wolves could be in a position to take advantage. A good World Cup with Belgium may change things, but the chance to become a key figure in a rebuild at Molineux may appeal, and the aim would be to reach the top flight in 12 months.

This is another ambitious signing, but FLW has confirmed that Fatawu is a target for Wolves, which makes total sense because he is a profile that they lack right now.
The group is in desperate need of a few players who can travel with the ball, beat the opposition and offer genuine pace on the break - which is what Fatawu is all about.
Again, the obvious stumbling block is Premier League interest, but, with a real project, Fatawu could be convinced that another year in the Championship, where he can be the main man, is the best thing for his development, as opposed to potentially sitting on the bench in the top flight.
Wolves sold Jorgen Strand Larsen, Jhon Arias and Emmanuel Agbadou for big money in January, so they should be in a position to spend early, and Leicester’s financial situation means they need to raise funds quickly. So, Wolves must try and make an early move for Fatawu to get ahead of any rival interest.

This wouldn’t be the most eye-catching deal in the eyes of some Wolves fans, but Tolaj has had an excellent few years, and the next step in his career will be the Championship.
His physicality makes him the ideal focal point for Wolves, and, again, it’s an area of the pitch they will need to bring in at least two players.
Tolaj keeps scoring goals as he rises up the leagues, and you would back him to flourish in a team that creates chances on a regular basis, which is what Wolves should be doing if they get their recruitment right this summer.
