Nicola Amoruso thinks Kolo Muani is not playing in the best position for him | OneFootball

Nicola Amoruso was one of the finest attackers to watch during his time with Juventus and other Serie A clubs, and he has now offered his opinion on the position he believes is best suited to Randal Kolo Muani.

The Frenchman joined Juve on a permanent deal in the last transfer window after the club worked for months to make the move happen and bring him into their squad. His arrival was viewed as an important addition following his impressive loan spell with the Bianconeri.

Kolo Muani Has Struggled for Goals

Juve had Kolo Muani on loan during the second half of the 2024/2025 term, and he was in superb form in the games he played for the club. His performances convinced the Bianconeri that they wanted him back, and they continued working towards making his stay permanent.

However, after failing to sign him last term, Juve now have their man, but they will be concerned that the goals have not followed. The club may not admit it, but there has not been much difference between Kolo Muani and Jonathan David, who the club sent out on loan in the last window.

David was struggling to score before his departure, and Kolo Muani is now experiencing a similar problem. That naturally raises questions about whether the Frenchman is being used in the best position at the Allianz Stadium.

Amoruso Suggests a Different Role

Amoruso believes Kolo Muani could benefit from playing in a different role, suggesting that he may be more effective as a second striker or winger rather than as a traditional centre forward. He also believes it is too early to make firm judgements about the players.

Speaking about the situation, he said via Calciomercato:

“Kolo Muani is not a centre forward , so he needs space and space. I’d see him better as a second striker or even as a winger , but this isn’t the right time to judge them. We need to give both him and Woltemade time to perform well.”

Kolo Muani will therefore hope to rediscover the form he showed during his first spell with Juve. The club will also hope that giving him time and potentially adjusting his role can help him find the goals they expected when they completed his permanent move.
