Nicole Ramos joins ball training as recovery progresses at Corinthians

The return of Corinthians Women's team for the 2026 season brought a positive update regarding the alvinegro squad. Amid the initial preseason activities, goalkeeper Nicole Ramos resumed ball training, indicating progress in her recovery process following surgery on her right hand.

The goalkeeper is in the final phase of physical transition after undergoing a procedure on her fifth finger, an injury suffered during the Women's Libertadores. Upon returning to training, Nicole joined the group of goalkeepers in position-specific activities, which included light ball exercises led by the coaching staff.

Before fieldwork, the women's squad went through a schedule divided between laboratory evaluations and physical tests, all supervised by the club's Health and Performance Center. The goalkeeper's participation at this stage of training reinforces the expectation that she will be available for the start of the official season commitments.

The injury occurred in October, during the final of the 2025 continental tournament. Nicole suffered a complete rupture of the central band of the extensor tendons in the little finger of her right hand after a collision on the field, which required surgical intervention and sidelined her for the last matches of the year. Even injured, the athlete remained on the field until the end of the Libertadores final.

Despite the physical issue, the goalkeeper played a decisive role in winning the South American title. In the semifinal, she was responsible for saving a penalty against Ferroviária, securing the team's place in the final. In the final against Deportivo Cali, Corinthians lifted the trophy again after winning the penalty shootout.

Corinthians will officially debut in 2026 on January 28, at 9:30 a.m. (Brasília time), when they face Gotham FC from the United States in the semifinal of the Champions Cup, in London, England.
