After Kalidou Koulibaly with Senegal, it's now Wilfred Ndidi’s turn to mourn a family member. The captain of Nigeria's Super Eagles lost his father this Tuesday.

Sunday Ndidi, father of Wilfred Ndidi, passed away this Tuesday following a road accident. The retired military officer is reported to have been involved in a crash in Umunede, Delta State, Nigeria. His death was confirmed after he was rushed to Agbor Hospital, also in Delta State.
Besiktas confirmed the incident on Tuesday. "We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic passing of Sunday Ndidi, father of our footballer Wilfred Ndidi, in a fatal road accident," the club wrote in a statement released via its official X account.
