Niko Kovac urged against underestimating Villarreal before Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League opener, despite the Spaniards failing to win their first four league games.

He added that the Greek Konstinos Karetsas and the Swede Daniel Svensson, although they trained away from the group on Monday, will be available for the team’s debut in the competition.

He said such individual or gym work two days after a match is routine and does not imply any issue. Both are fine and can play tomorrow.

Kovac also said he will keep his usual back three and will not switch to a four-man defence.
