Lille edged Auxerre 4-3 at Stade de l'Abbé Deschamps to rise from fourth to third in Ligue 1.

Hakon Arnar Haraldsson put the visitors ahead in the ninth minute with a left-footed finish from the centre of the box.

Nathan Ngoy was sent off for Lille (38.). After the restart, Lassine Sinayoko levelled with a glancing header (57.). Clément Akpa then received a second yellow and was sent off for Auxerre (60.).

Chancel Mbemba put through his own net to hand Auxerre the lead (66.). Nabil Bentaleb drilled in from range to make it 2-2 (77.), and Soriba Diaoune rifled into the top corner (80.) as Lille rallied.

Lamine Sy won a penalty after a foul by Felix Correia, and Sinayoko converted from the spot (83.). Benjamin Andre restored Lille's lead with a header from Romain Perraud's corner (86.).

Perraud was then sent off for violent conduct (88.). Oussama El Azzouzi also saw red moments later (88.).

In the seventh minute of second half stoppage time, Berke Ozer tipped over Assane Diousse El Hadji's strike, then denied Sekou Mara from close range to seal the points.

Auxerre registered 18 attempts, with eight on target. Lille recorded eight attempts and found the net with five on target.
