Aberdeen beat Hibernian 2-0 at Pittodrie to climb from ninth to eighth, with Kevin Nisbet scoring twice after Grant Hanley's early dismissal and a VAR-confirmed penalty set the tone.
In the 14th minute, Aberdeen won a penalty when Toyosi Olusanya was fouled by Hanley. VAR confirmed the spot kick. Hanley was sent off for violent conduct (16.). Nisbet rolled the penalty into the bottom left (17.).
Raphael Sallinger kept Hibs in it before the break, while Dimitar Mitov later saved from Joe Newell as the visitors chased a response.
Nisbet added a second from close range (75.), the goal awarded after a VAR review.
After changes midway through the half, the Dons maintained pressure, with Topi Keskinen twice denied late on by Sallinger.
The result lifts the Dons to eighth. Hibs remain fifth. Next, the Dons host Kilmarnock. Hibs host Hearts.
