Despite hinting at a possible switch to Inter Milan in the near future, there have been no definitive discussions between the Nerazzurri and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The former AC Milan player teased a return to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza with Inter following Italy’s 2-1 defeat to Germany in the UEFA Nations League, and according to Tuttosport, and via FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are monitoring his situation.
Donnarumma currently has one year remaining on his contract at PSG and is yet to reach an agreement on an extension, but the newspaper argues that the 26-year-old’s true intention is remain in Paris.
It would require a renegotiation of his €10 million per year existing deal, and it may yet end in a break up with the goalkeeper becoming a free agent in the summer of 2026, at which point Inter may swoop.
However, the Biscione currently feel satisfied with Yann Sommer and Josep Martinez going into next season and so are in no rush to change their goalkeeping options.
