The 2026 Trophée des Champions between PSG and Lens at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Sunday, 20:45, will not feature extra time. If the match is level after 90 minutes, it will go straight to a penalty shootout.

As reported by L'Équipe, the LFP’s article 803 sets out that the fixture lasts 90 minutes and, in the event of a draw, is decided by kicks from the penalty mark.

This format occurred last year when PSG defeated Marseille on penalties after a 2-2 draw, winning the shootout 4-1.

A similar approach applies in the UEFA Super Cup. In 2025, PSG beat Tottenham on penalties after a 2-2 draw, taking the shootout 4-3.

This year, they did not require spot-kicks to overcome Aston Villa, winning 2-1.
