Francesco Farioli is not blessed with choice in midfield as OGC Nice prepare to face FC Nantes at the Allianz Riviera on Sunday, the Italian manager revealed in Friday’s press conference.
Les Aiglons will be without four midfielders for the encounter. Both Khéphren Thuram and Pablo Rosario will be suspended for the encounter, whilst Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Morgan Sanson are injured. The former has suffered a setback in his recovery from a quadriceps injury and he may also miss the following match against Stade de Reims, according to Farioli.
Sanson, meanwhile, suffered a calf injury against RC Lens in the last match before the international break, and the Aston Villa loanee has not recovered in time to face Les Canaris. Sofiane Diop also remains absent for Nice. The Moroccan international is still recovering from a foot injury. Farioli must therefore cobble together a side to face Nantes, as they look to build on the victory against Les Sang et Or and re-establish their European credentials.
