A curious moment involving Michael Olise at FC Bayern’s Team Day: The Frenchman apparently had little interest in a challenge and, without further ado, let his two teammates continue on their own.
On the field, Michael Olise is one of FC Bayern’s top performers. During a friendly game off the field, however, the 24-year-old’s enthusiasm was apparently quite limited. At the Munich club’s Team Day, the offensive star caused a stir with his surprising departure.
Around 2,000 fans had gathered at the Bayern Campus on Monday. There, the German record champions presented both their men’s and women’s teams for the new season. In addition to a public training session, the program included autograph signings, selfies, and several challenges.
In one of these, Olise teamed up with Lennart Karl and Jonas Urbig. The trio had to answer a total of five questions correctly and put three picture cards in the correct order for each one. Among other things, they had to sort foods by their protein content.
Olise apparently didn’t enjoy this for very long.
According to BILD, the French national team player left his spot at the quiz console just about 30 seconds after the challenge began. According to the report, there was no explanation for his sudden departure.
His teammates’ reactions were predictable: Karl couldn’t help but crack a slight smile, while Urbig looked confused. For the two youngsters, Olise’s departure meant they would have to tackle the task as a duo from then on.
For the Bayern star, the brief exit was certainly a curious scene, but overall, the event was all about having fun anyway. Four different challenges were held, with three players from the Munich team competing against each other in each one. A team consisting of two influencers and a fan also took part.

Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, and Tom Bischof, for example, had to identify historic Bayern jerseys and correctly place them in chronological order. According to the report, the team featuring Manuel Neuer, new signing Nathaniel Brown, and Aleksandar Pavlovic performed particularly well.
There was also a serious purpose behind the games. The various challenges raised a total of 19,700 euros for the Munich-based initiative “Buntkicktgut.” FC Bayern subsequently increased the total to 25,000 euros.
Olise’s quick exit is therefore likely to be remembered primarily as a curious footnote to the Team Day. While his teammates showed enthusiasm for the unusual tasks, the Frenchman was clearly much more interested in soccer than in trivia games.
