Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Noah Atubolu, 24, on loan from Freiburg.

Kicker reports that he is set to be the Hessen club’s number one ahead of Kaua Santos and Michael Zetterer, and adds that after extending his Freiburg contract to avoid a 2027 free transfer, a permanent move to Frankfurt will follow if certain conditions are met.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche said Eintracht are adding a strong, ambitious and already experienced goalkeeper, noting his potential and mentality can lift the team and that they are confident he will take the next step and strengthen the team.

Atubolu said he is delighted to join and eager to get started at Eintracht Frankfurt. He added that he knows the city, the club and the stadium well and has always found playing there special, and he is looking forward to the challenge.

The goalkeeper made 125 appearances in all competitions for Freiburg.
