Michael Noonan will not be joining TSG Hoffenheim after his family rejected a move. Sky Germany reports that the Shamrock Rovers prospect, 17, will remain with the Irish club for now.

Hoffenheim were keen and made an offer, but, contrary to earlier reports, talks were never close to being finalised.

Focus has shifted to Yannick Eduardo, now a concrete target.

The 20-year-old striker is at Dordrecht in the Dutch second division on loan from RB Leipzig.

Talks are already under way and, for the time being, he is planned for the U-23 side, as Noonan would have been.
