Norway fans cheer Viktor Hovland and Kristoffer Reitan before France World Cup clash | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, Norwegian supporters in the United States for the 2026 World Cup also turned out at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut on Thursday to back Kristoffer Reitan and Viktor Hovland, the day before France v Norway in Foxborough.

Many are primarily there to follow Erling Haaland and his team, who face France at Gillette Stadium on Friday at 21:00. Some fans made the short trip across the state line to Connecticut on Thursday.

Around 20 Norway fans, easily spotted in their national team shirts, were filmed beside the fairways supporting Reitan and Hovland. The PGA Tour event runs from Thursday to Sunday in Cromwell.

They brought loud applause and good humour, and even performed their now-viral Viking row routine, mimicking the oarsmen of Viking ships.

They now hope to reprise it on Friday after completing the two hours and 175 kilometres separating Cromwell from Foxborough.
