Papa Amadou Diallo suffered a severe quadriceps injury on September 20 during the Championship match between Norwich City and Wrexham. The Senegalese forward will require surgery and is expected to be sidelined for several months.

Papa Diallo was forced to leave the Carrow Road pitch prematurely after experiencing intense pain in his thigh. A medical examination conducted in the hours following the match revealed a significant quadriceps tear. The former FC Metz striker is set to undergo surgery, as confirmed by his manager Liam Manning.

"It's not good news, it's a serious quadriceps injury that will keep him out for several months. It's very disappointing, and surgery is necessary. This wasn't a workload issue; we need to look at what we're asking of him and why. He's new to the league. He had adapted well to life here and had shown some really exciting moments. Now it's an opportunity for him to step up his work off the pitch and improve his English. He'll come back in even better shape. But it's going to take a long time. We're talking about three or four months," explained Manning.

Having joined Norwich City from FC Metz during the summer transfer window, Papa Diallo quickly earned a spot in the starting eleven. The 21-year-old forward, a product of Génération Foot, has featured in seven matches across all competitions since the start of the season, providing two assists in the EFL Cup.
