Norwich City must consider these three names to replace Liam Manning
Liam Manning has been dismissed as manager of Norwich City following their latest defeat to Leicester City, which leaves them stuck in the relegation zone of the Championship.
The Canaries are once again searching for a new head coach, with the former Bristol City manager only arriving at Carrow Road in the summer.
The 40-year-old made the switch after guiding the Robins to a play-off place, but he had a torrid few months in Norfolk, with a run of seven defeats in eight games leading to his departure from the Norfolk outfit.
Norwich went into the campaign hoping to fight for a top six finish in the Championship, but will now be seeking a rise up the table under a new manager in order to avoid a relegation battle.
Here, we look at THREE possible candidates to take over the Canaries following Manning’s departure this weekend...

Will Still’s time at Southampton came to an abrupt end after just 13 games of the Championship season.
The 33-year-old oversaw just two win and suffered a very similar fate to Manning at Norwich, which could put some people off from his appointment.
But there is no denying that his track record prior to working at St. Mary’s showed a lot of promise, having delivered top half of the table finishes at both Lens and Reims in Ligue 1.
His attacking style of play should also be suited to the current first-team squad at Carrow Road.
While there’s no denying that Still failed to deliver results for Southampton, there was an element of misfortune behind the team’s form as they persistently failed to convert big chances and put games away that they deserved to win, and the underlying stats proved that.
Southampton’s loss could prove their gain if they can convince him to get back to work straight away after the disappointment of his dismissal earlier this month.

Miron Muslic made a strong impression on English football during his brief spell in charge of Plymouth Argyle last season.
He had the Pilgrims punching above their weight and almost got them out of their relegation to League One, but for the fact they ran out of games to do so - there was also the memorable win over Liverpool in the FA Cup that he masterminded the Devon outfit to.
The 43-year-old departed Home Park in the summer, making the move to Schalke, where he has continued to earn an impressive reputation.
His side are top of the 2. Bundesliga, and are aiming to earn promotion back to the German top flight.
But if Norwich can convince him to come back to English football, then he could prove a very shrewd appointment - although given Schalke's current league position and stature in the German game, it would appear quite unlikely that he'd make the move.

Kim Hellberg has no experience working in English football, but could be a risk worth taking given his body of work in Sweden.
The 37-year-old has earned a reputation as an exciting young coach, who has overseen a second place finish in the Allsvenskan for the second season in a row at Hammarby after breaking through as a manager with minnows Varnamo.
The Swede was chosen as the replacement for Martí Cifuentes, who departed for QPR in October 2023, and he's no stranger to being courted by EFL clubs.
Hellberg was one of the names in talks with Sunderland back in late 2023 after the departure of Tony Mowbray, but they opted for Michael Beale in the end, in a move that was no doubt a bit of a mistake at the time in hindsight.
The Swede would quickly take the Hammarby job after that, but earlier in 2025, Hellberg was linked with the Swansea City vacancy after Luke Williams was sacked, but the Welsh outfit were blocked in their pursuit.
With the Allsvenskan season set to finish this weekend though, it could open the door for an EFL club to finally land Hellberg if he's keen to make the move across the North Sea, and whilst it would be a risky appointment in Norwich’s position, an exciting young coach like Hellberg, who has no ties to the city like Manning did, may be what they need to salvage something from their season.
