FLW's Norwich City fan pundit has said the club should be demanding at least £20 million for Mohamed Toure this summer amid heavy interest

Norwich City are looking to carry on their good momentum under Philippe Clement this season, and will be hoping to keep hold of their star assets beyond the September deadline amid interest from elsewhere.

Norwich have not had an especially busy summer window thus far, bringing in the likes of Sam Field, Bruno Alves, Andre Brooks, Darlin Yongwa, and Anthony Musaba, as Belgian boss Clement looks to add some key upgrades to his Canaries squad.

The former Rangers and Monaco head coach added each of Ali Ahmed, Paris Maghoma, and Mohamed Toure to the club's ranks in the January window, with each of them having had a positive impact following their arrival.

Toure, in particular, has so far proven to be an incredible addition, netting nine and assisting three in just 11 Championship games in the second half of last season following his potential £3 million move from Danish side Randers, including two hat-tricks.

That fee looks to be a bargain already, and having also impressed at the recent World Cup with Australia, Norwich faces a battle to retain his services beyond this summer.

According to Rudy Galetti via X, each of Hull City, Sporting CP, and FC Porto have registered an interest in the 22-year-old striker this summer, as Norwich faces a battle to keep hold of their Mali-born star.

Hull, following promotion to the Premier League, are looking to add another option to their front line, and have seemingly identified Toure as a potential candidate, whilst the Portuguese duo of Sporting and Porto also maintain an interest in the Aussie.

Sporting have already completed the potential £17 million addition of Australian winger Nestory Irankunda from fellow Championship side Watford, and could look to reunite the Socceroos teammates in Lisbon before the end of the window.

Norwich will have few intentions of a sale anytime soon, but that may not prevent bids arriving in the meantime.

Football League World's Norwich fan pundit, Zeke Downes, has shared their thoughts on the reported interest in Toure, and what sort of fee the Canaries should be demanding in the event of his departure.

Zeke said: "I'm not surprised about Toure having some interest. I'm a bit surprised that it's only now. I don't know why it's not been earlier.

"It's not too much of a concern. I don't think there's any chance that the club will let him go because, yeah, we've got technically four strikers.

"Makama is only just coming back. Crnac is coming back from a long-term injury, and Kvistgaarden doesn't quite fit the system, and although he is a really good player to have in the squad, he's not going to be a starter.

"So I don't really see any way that this would happen unless a club comes in with a big price, and it would need to be £20 million or more. I don't see there being any point in risking it and trying to replace him this late on when we already have a guy that knows where the net is in this league, which is a bit of a risk if you're trying to replace that.

"So I think this isn't going to happen. Maybe at the end of the season if we haven't gone up, but I just think even if there's a lot of money in this, it's too much of a risk."

Philippe Clement will be keen to keep hold of Mohamed Toure beyond the summer at Norwich City.

Following his arrival in January, Toure was heading into a difficult situation at Carrow Road, with the Canaries towards the foot of the table, having just sold Josh Sargent under a dark cloud, and with Jovon Makama suffering an injury shortly after.

Despite this, the Aussie more than thrived, with his goals firing Norwich up the league and within touching distance of the play-offs in the end.

Still just 22, Toure has ample time to continue to improve his game, and having already proven to be an incredible striker at Championship level, the sky is the limit.
