Norwich City midfielder Mathias Normann boasts similar traits to former Canaries fan favourite Jonny Howson, according to journalist Stuart Hodge.
Normann completed a switch to Carrow Road with the summer transfer deadline looming, joining from Russian outfit Rostov on a season-long loan deal which has the option of being made permanent.
Daniel Farke was overjoyed after fighting off other suitors to welcome Normann to Norfolk, with the Norwich boss insisting the 25-year-old has plenty of potential.
Farke led the Canaries back into the Premier League after winning a second Championship title in the space of three seasons.
But Norwich have struggled to adjust to the rigours of the top flight and already find themselves deep in relegation trouble.
That worrying position comes despite Normann becoming an important member of Farke's squad, starting each of the newly-promoted side's last five Premier League fixtures.
It has been claimed that the Norwegian's performances could prove to be vital in Norwich's bid to stave off an immediate return to the Championship, with him quickly becoming the club's new talisman following the summer departure of Emiliano Buendia to Aston Villa for a club-record fee.
Hodge sees similarities between Normann, who has won nine caps for Norway but was forced to pull out of their squad in the recent international break due to minor abdominal pain, and former Norwich midfielder Howson.
The journalist believes Normann, like Howson, can make the difference on the pitch.

Hodge told GIVEMESPORT: "He is a midfield enforcer that can create, shoot and make things happen in the final third as well.
"Jonny Howson was a similar type of player for Norwich in that he was a midfielder that could do anything and just pull the team up the pitch kicking and screaming single handedly.
"Howson did that in his brilliant, understated Yorkshire kind of way."
