Nottingham Forest are weighing up a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Jose Sa as the deadline looms.
According to the BBC, talks have taken place over a possible deal, with Forest exploring the option late in the window.
They have until seven pm on February two to add to Sean Dyche’s squad, having already signed forward Lorenzo Lucca on loan from Napoli.
Matz Sels is restored as first choice. He briefly lost the shirt to summer arrival John Victor, who is sidelined after knee surgery.
With John out, Angus Gunn is back-up. Earlier this season he said he would consider his options in search of game time.
Forest have tracked Sa before, including before Sels joined in winter 2024. He moved from Olympiacos to Wolves in 2021, and Olympiacos is also owned by Evangelos Marinakis.
Sa has made 12 appearances for Wolves this season. Rob Edwards’ side are bottom of the Premier League on eight points, with Forest due to host them at the City Ground on February 11.
Sa is not the only Wolves player admired. Forest are also keen on forward Jorgen Strand Larsen and have bid for Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta as they seek another striker.
