Nottingham Forest have returned with an improved offer for Fiorentina full-back Dodo after a €7m proposal was turned down earlier this week.

According to Sky Sport, the club have tabled €9m plus up to €2m in bonuses for the 27-year-old.

Fiorentina are holding out for proposals starting at €10m.

Any agreement would need to be a permanent transfer, not a loan with an option or obligation to buy, as the defender has 12 months left on his contract.

Dodo joined from Shakhtar Donetsk in summer 2022 and has made 163 appearances in all competitions, including 114 in Serie A. He featured in the teams that finished runners up in the first two UEFA Conference League editions in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
