Nottingham Forest slumped to a humiliating 3-0 loss against Chelsea in Saturday’s Premier League encounter.
The Tricky Trees played well until half-time, but Enzo Maresca’s second-half substitutions changed the game as Josh Acheampong, Pedro Neto and Reece James scored to secure a comfortable victory.
Forest have not won a top-flight game since the 3-1 home success against Brentford on the opening weekend.
They appointed Ange Postecoglou as their manager following Nuno Espirito Santo’s controversial dismissal in September.
It is barely over a month since the Australian boss arrived at the City Ground, but the club must make a change in the dugout.
Results have been dismal, and they are fighting to avoid relegation to the Championship.
Nuno led Forest to a seventh-placed finish last season, securing European football for Forest for the first time in three decades.
But their fortunes have dramatically reversed this season, as they are battling relegation after collecting just five points from eight matches.
Forest should never have appointed Postecoglou in the first place, as he favours a high-pressing, attacking style of play, which is a drastic shift from Nuno’s pragmatic approach.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis showed restraint during the international break, but he is not afraid to make swift changes if he feels things are not working.
BBC Sport recently claimed the club have already started making contingency plans if the Australian boss leaves the City Ground.
