Nottingham Forest will be without Morgan Gibbs-White for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup visit of Leeds United after he sustained a knee injury in Saturday’s defeat.
On the club website, head coach Oliver Glasner said Gibbs-White twisted his ankle, overstretching his MCL and leaving knee pain, with no structural damage, so he will not be risked, and that they are working to have the 26-year-old available for Liverpool on Saturday.
Gibbs-White joins captain Ryan Yates and Nicolò Savona on the sidelines, with both having missed Saturday’s league opener and not yet ready to return.
The sides meet again at the City Ground in the second round on Tuesday, four days after Leeds won 1-0 there to start the Premier League season.
Daniel Farke’s side make a quick return to Nottingham for the tie.
