Nunez leaves Al-Hilal on loan as saga ends

Al-Hilal have confirmed Darwin Nunez's exit, drawing a line under a long-running saga over his future ahead of the summer window closing.

The club said in a statement that the Uruguayan striker has joined Al-Diriyah on a loan deal.

Al-Diriyah are newly promoted to the Roshn Saudi Pro League.

Nunez arrived at Al-Hilal last summer and failed to convince, slipping out of Italian manager Simone Inzaghi's plans.

The move caps a busy window for Al-Diriyah, who have already added France's Enzo Millot from Al-Ahli and veteran Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
