ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: Graz stay top, Austria Wien and Pölten win big and Rapid claim first victory | OneFootball

The sixth week of results in the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga saw history made as SK Rapid won their first ever top flight fixture. SK Sturm Graz remain top of the league by one point, while Austria Wien and SKN St. Pölten both dominated their fixtures.

SKN St. Pölten remain just one point behind leaders SK Storm Graz but with a game in-hand. Südburgenland remain bottom of the league with their season beginning to look bleak and Petra Mikulica put some pressure on Brigitta Pulins in the race for the Golden Boot.

FC Blau-Weiß Linz Kleinmünchen vs SK Sturm Graz

Continuing their impressive form, SK Sturm Graz scored four as they dominated their fixture away to Linz. Graz academy graduate Julia Keutz grabbed three of her side’s four goals. Keutz, who has been involved in the Graz first team since 2019, had previously scored just five league goals during her time at the club.

The away side’s other goal came from Sophie Maierhofer, the expeirenced midfielder who has played in England, Germany and Iceland previously. She kept a calm head and netted in the 17th minute.

Graz remain top of the table, with their striker Brigitta Pulins in the lead for the Golden Boot, with seven goals so far this season. Linz now sit second from bottom in the table, with a tough fixture next week against FK Austria Wien.

SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg vs FK Austria Wien

It was a calm and dominant performance from Austria Wien as they pushed aside bottom of the table Südburgenland with a score-line of 0-5. Tatjana Wiess got Austria Wien off to a solid start, scoring in just seven minutes after a corner.

The goals then just kept coming for the away side. Austrian legend Carina Wenninger netted on the mark of half-time after a superb pass from Lotta Cordes. In the second half, there was more cause for celebration as talented youngster Almedina Sisic bagged a goal, after coming back from an injury. It was a powerful shot from distance that swept past Südburgenland goalkeeper Dora Schvirján.

Patricia Pfanner and Nina-Katrin Pichler grabbed the side’s final two goals. Pichler, who is just 17, is on dual registration with Bundesliga 2 side USC Landhaus but she has been impressing at Austria Wien, forcing her way into the first team squad.

Austria Wien still sit third in the league table now, six points behind leaders Graz, with a game in-hand. Südburgenland, despite their almost promising start to the season, sit bottom of the league with relegation surely starting to seem likely.

First Vienna FC 1894 vs SKN St. Pölten

A comfortable second half was enough to give Pölten the three points as they travelled to the capital to face First Vienna. Pölten saw the game out in a 1-4 victory as they maintain their chase of SK Sturm Graz for the top position in the league.

Victoria Laino was gifted a goal by her teammate Alma Aagaard as a deflection took the ball past First Vienna keeper Vivien Grabenhofer to open the scoring. Pölten legend Fanny Vago then nodded home a perfect cross from Matavková to score her first goal of the game.

First Vienna then gave Pölten a scare through Lilah Havel. The 19-year-old continued her strong form in the 2026/27 season with a successful one-on-one against star keeper Carina Schlüter, which marks the first time Pölten have conceded this season.

Vago then grabbed another goal and Alma Aagaard netted a deserved goal to make it 1-4. Pölten have looked the strongest side this season, yet to drop a point, having scored 12 goals and only conceded one. Manager Laurent Fassotte will be feeling confident of catching Graz who are only ahead of Pölten because of a game in-hand.

SK Rapid vs LASK

History was made on the Allianz training pitch in Hütteldorf at the weekend. SK Rapid won their first ever ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga victory as they beat LASK 2-1.

Lana Khalaf was the hero of Hütteldorf for SK Rapid on her debut no less, as the 20-year-old scored a brace and secured the historic three points. A wonder strike for LASK from Estonia international Katrin Kirpu wasn’t enough to get anything from the game for the away side.

Khalaf slotted home her first goal from around 12-yards after a cleverly intercepted pass from Isabell Schneiderbauer. Her second of the game came after an important piece of pressing, forcing a defensive error from LASK and then calmly putting the ball past LASK goalkeeper Andrea Gurtner.

Rapid now pull away from the bottom of the table after their first victory. Sitting in sixth, just a point behind both SCR Altach and First Vienna is a very healthy place to be for a newly promoted side.

FC Red Bull Salzburg vs SCR Altach

Petra Mikulica continued to prove she is one of the league’s best players this weekend with a first half hat-trick against Red Bull Salzburg. Altach won the game comfortably 1-3 leaving the Brazilian coach Leandro Simonelli’s side fifth in the league table.

Red Bull attempted a comeback through a goal from Julia Grünwald but couldn’t find a way to salvage any points from the day. Salzburg now sit below SK Rapid in seventh, with six points from their opening six games in the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga.

Salzburg boss Dusan Pavlovic will no doubt be looking for a little extra from his team if they’re to find their form from the 2025/26 season that saw them reach the final of the ÖFB Cup and finish fourth, one place away from European qualification.
