Corinthians, the reigning champions and Group A top seeds, will discover their 2026 Women’s Libertadores group opponents today as Conmebol conducts the draw.
According to Meu Timao, proceedings start at 12:30 Brasília time at Conmebol’s headquarters in Luque, Paraguay, with the tournament staged in Quito, Ecuador, from 15 to 31 October.
Corinthians are seeded as holders after defeating Deportivo Cali on penalties. Independiente Del Valle, Ecuador’s national champions, head Group B.
Sixteen teams are involved. Corinthians will face one club each from pots two, three and four, and cannot draw Palmeiras from pot four due to the same-country rule.
Pot one contains Cruzeiro and the champions of Colombia. Pot two features Colo-Colo, Libertad, LDU and Belgrano.
Pot three includes Universitario, Nacional, Caracas and Bolívar. Pot four has Palmeiras, Olímpia, Universidad de Chile and Colombia’s runners-up.
The Colombian league is at the semi-final stage, with Deportivo Cali facing Nacional and Millonarios playing Independiente Santa Fe. The winners go to pot one, the runners-up to pot four.
The draw will be streamed on Conmebol’s official YouTube channels in Portuguese and Spanish.
Prize money is two million dollars for the champions, 600 thousand for the runners-up and 250 thousand for third place, approximately R$ 10.2 million, R$ three million and R$ 1.2 million respectively.
