Anderlecht have announced the signing of Barcelona youth player Moussa N’Diaye.
The Belgian club have been in need of reinforcements on the left side of defence with Manchester City taking Sergio Gomez from them.
They now have one in the form of 20-year-old N’Diaye, who is comfortable playing as both a central defender and a left-back.
N’Diaye has spent his career in the Barcelona academy, playing for their reserve team in the third tier of Spanish football for the past year.
He has also gained experience playing for the Senegal U20s team at the World Cup in 2019 and has been called up to the nation’s senior squad.
The defender has joined Anderlecht on a three-year deal and has been given the number five shirt, suggesting he’ll be in contention to play for the first team rather than just the youth side.
The club say he “combines speed and solid aggressiveness with fine technical skills.”
