PSG attacking midfielder Kang-in Lee (25) has officially joined Atlético de Madrid, both clubs have announced. It has been reported previously that PSG and Atlético agreed to a €40m transfer fee for the South Korea international. The La Liga side was on the market for an attacking midfielder following the departure of club legend Antoine Griezmann. Kang-in Lee notably inherits the No. 7 jersey left vacant by the former France international. He has signed a five-year deal with Los Colchoneros.
Kang-in Lee is therefore back in Spain after joining PSG from Mallorca three years ago. The South Korean made 124 appearances for the Ligue 1 side – logging 16 goals as many assists. Despite playing a part-ime role under the tutelage of Luis Enrique, he won two Champions Leagues, one UEFA Super Cup and one Intercontinental Cup, as well as three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France and two Trophée des Champions.
