Barcelona will be aiming to continue their winning run as they take on Newcastle United in the first round of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Ahead of the trip to Tyneside, Barcelona have officially announced their squad list for the fixture.

The biggest takeaway is the inclusion of Gavi, though Barcelona note that his presence is subject to receiving the medical clearance.

It was reported ahead of the trip that Gavi will be travelling with the team regardless of whether or not he is included in the team.

The midfield looks a bit thin with Frenkie de Jong injured. But Marc Bernal makes it to the squad after being substituted at half-time against Athletic Club, leading to fears he may have picked up a fresh injury.

But Bernal was subbed off due to precaution as he was suffering from stomach upset and should be fit enough to start against Newcastle United this midweek.

Apart from these two, there are no real highlights, although it will be interesting to see if Flick will start with Ferran Torres, especially with Robert Lewandowski also waiting in the wings.
