Excitement is building in Barcelona as Hansi Flick’s side prepare to return to the Spotify Camp Nou on 7 November for a highly anticipated open training session.

The event marks a symbolic step in the stadium’s gradual reopening and will also serve as an operational test for the newly renovated facilities.

As announced by the club, the training session will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the stadium gates opening from 9:30 a.m. to allow fans to enter early.

Ticket prices were set at €5 for members and season ticket holders, and €10 for the general public. However, in a matter of days, all tickets were snapped up.

Barcelona had initially capped the capacity at 23,000 spectators, covering the Main Stand and South Goal areas in line with Phase 1A of the stadium’s renovation plan.

According to the club, 7,500 member tickets were sold out within just 48 hours of release, while the remaining general admission tickets quickly followed.

There will be more tickets

The overwhelming response exceeded even the club’s expectations, as supporters rushed to secure their spot for the team’s first public session at Camp Nou since the renovation began.

In an official statement, FC Barcelona confirmed that additional tickets could be released in the coming days.

“In the coming days the Club will begin to free up additional tickets should those reserved institutional and technical finally not be needed,” read a statement.

It is to be noted that the open session will function as a technical and operational test to ensure that all access systems, security measures, and internal operations are functioning properly ahead of the next reopening phase.

Following inspections carried out by the City Council last week, Phase 1A has now been fully completed, while the club has already received approval to move into Phase 1B, which will allow the opening of the side stands.

Once this phase is finalised, Camp Nou’s usable capacity is expected to increase to around 45,000 spectators.
