When the Spain squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers was announced, as many as seven FC Barcelona stars were called up by manager Luis de la Fuente.
However, Gavi had to unfortunately withdraw from the squad due to a knee injury he suffered last week.
Of the six players remaining in the La Roja squad, only two have now been named in the starting lineup for the WC qualifier against Bulgaria.
Indeed, Lamine Yamal and Pedri are the two Barça stars featuring in the Spain lineup tonight, with no place in the team for Pau Cubarsi, Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres, and Fermin Lopez.
Lamine starts on the right flank as per usual, partnering Mikel Oyarzabal and Nico Williams in attack.
As for Pedri, he occupies the No. 10 role in the Spain setup, which is where De la Fuente continues to utilise him, despite the maestro enjoying great success in a deeper role at Barcelona over the past year.
Interestingly, the Spain head coach has opted to go with Real Madrid new signing Dean Huijsen and Robin Le Normand ahead of Cubarsi at centre-back.
