Official: Barcelona sign Lovro Chelfi | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have this week announced a fresh addition to the club’s youth ranks.

The player in question? Lovro Chelfi.

The name of youngster Chelfi emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Barcelona earlier this month.

As much came after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the Blaugrana had earmarked the starlet as a leading transfer target with a view to next season.

Chelfi, for his part, is an 18-year-old attack-minded midfielder, who has long been considered a potential star in the making in his home country of Croatia.

The Barcelona brass, in turn, recently kicked into gear negotiations with NK Kustosija over Chelfi’s potential incorporation.

And as alluded to above, this week, such talks have officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across Barca’s website and social media platforms:

‘Agreement with NK Kustosija for the transfer of Lovro Chelfi to Barca. He joins the U19 A team.’
