Official: Barcelona star left out of squad vs Athletic Club | OneFootball

Barcelona star Marcus Rashford has been omitted from the club’s matchday squad on Saturday.

This comes ahead of the Blaugrana kicking their campaign back into gear in a La Liga meeting with Athletic Club.

With kick-off fast approaching on the day of Barca’s long-awaited Spotify Camp Nou return, Hansi Flick’s panel of stars was made official a short time ago.

And there was plenty of positive news, with Raphinha and Joan García both back amongst the group following several months on the sidelines.

The news was less encouraging, however, regarding the aforementioned Marcus Rashford.

After missing training over the last couple of days, the Englishman has not been risked for the evening, forced to watch on from home.

Also absent, albeit more predictably, is midfield standout Pedri, amid the Spanish international’s ongoing recovery from a muscular injury.

Engine room partner Frenkie de Jong, meanwhile, is sitting out a one-match ban for a red card picked up against Celta Vigo last time out.
