Official: Barcelona star named La Liga Player of the Month | OneFootball

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Friday been named Player of the Month in Spain’s top-flight.

The individual in question? Raphinha.

Wide-man Raphinha is for his part fresh off nothing short of a scintillating start to the new campaign.

Looking completely rejuvenated under the watch of new head coach Hansi Flick, the Brazilian has shone from both a central role, and on the left flank.

All told, such endeavours have given rise to three goals and two assists across four appearances to date.

The highlight of as much came on the final day of last month, when Raphinha was responsible for a hat-trick en route to Barcelona’s 7-0 drubbing of Real Valladolid.

And, as alluded to above, on Friday, such exploits on the part of the former Leeds United man have been aptly recognised.

As per a statement across La Liga’s website and social media platforms, Raphinha has been named the competition’s Player of the Month for August:
