Official: Barcelona star named La Liga Player of the Month | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has late this week been named Player of the Month for September in Spain’s top-flight.

The Blaugrana star in question? Raphinha.

Frontman Raphinha is for his part of course fresh off nothing short of a spectacular opening to the new campaign. Afforded a new role as the central striker in Hansi Flick’s XI, the Brazilian has responded with a string of brilliant individual performances.

Across the month of September, Raphinha took to the pitch in league play on four occasions. And across these outings, the 29-year-old directly contributed to nine goals.

Most recently, Raphinha made it back-to-back hat-tricks, at the expense of Racing Santander and Sevilla.

And as alluded to above, over the last 24 hours, the former Leeds United man has seen his ongoing excellence aptly recognised. After being named La Liga Player of the Month for August, Raphinha has made it two from two to open the term, with the same accolade for September:
