A member of the attacking ranks at Barcelona has on Thursday secured for himself a fresh piece of individual silverware.
This comes amid confirmation that Lamine Yamal has been named La Liga’s Young Player of the Year for 2024/25.
Wide-man Lamine is of course fresh off what was nothing short of a spectacular individual campaign.
From his berth on the right of new boss Hansi Flick’s frontline, the Spanish international ripped opposing backlines apart week in and week out, courtesy of elite touch, dribbling and final ball.
All told, in 55 appearances across all competitions, Lamine racked up a head-turning haul of 18 goals and 25 assists.
Nine of these goals, alongside a division-best 15 assists, came in La Liga, decisive figures in Barcelona wrestling back Spanish football supremacy from arch rivals Real Madrid.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, such efforts have been aptly recognised.
As per a release across La Liga’s official social media channels, Lamine has been voted the La Liga Young (U23) Player of the Season for 2024/25.
