Official: Barcelona starting XI against Chelsea | UCL | OneFootball

FC Barcelona and Chelsea will be locking horns at Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League soon. Both teams want the three points, and both Hansi Flick and Enzo Maresca will make sure their teams go all out in this clash.

A rather historic and storied encounter, Barça and Chelsea have had some memorable clashes over the years. Now, in 2025, they get to revisit that old rivalry of sorts and Flick has selected a strong line-up to ensure that.

Here is the official starting eleven for Barça as they take on Chelsea.

In goal, Joan Garcia starts for FC Barcelona as the Spaniard looks to put in a solid shift against the London-based outfit. He managed to keep a clean sheet in his last game, and he will be hoping to make it two in a row.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo start in defense and they will be looking to sort out the team from back there. Both players will have a lot of responsibility in this game, and they will need to be alert at all times.

On the flanks, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde are starting together. Both players will have a tough time with Chelsea’s attack and structure, but they have the quality to manage it properly.

In midfield, Eric Garcia and Frenkie de Jong start together and they will look to dictate the tempo of the game and help out their teammates. De Jong, in particular, has just returned from a suspension and will be looking to have a considerable impact.

On the wings, Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres start together and they will look to create issues for the opposition from those wide flanks. In between them, Fermin Lopez starts and he will be looking to make good use of his current form to threaten and thwart the Chelsea defense.

Finally, Robert Lewandowski starts as the team’s centre-forward and he will look to convert the chances that come his way. For Barça to win, they need their ace striker to be at the top of his game.
