Everton have completed the signing of Tyrique George on loan from Chelsea on this Deadline Day.
A “deal sheet” was put in at the 19.00 GMT deadline to allow this one to go through. There is a buy option, and winger George who has often been left out of matchday squads for the Blues this season, gets a fresh start.

Fabrizio Romano’s earlier Tweet about Tyrique Georige.
What we’re all interested in is the details of the buy option. Is it automatically triggered by appearances? Or a fixed fee Everton can pay? Nothing to concrete has come out yet, but it’s bound to eventually. Fabrizio Romano described it was a “buy option,” that isn’t “mandatory.” To us that just sounds like a fixed fee that the Toffees can choose to offer, rather than one which is triggered.
Tyrique showed plenty in his appearances for Chelsea – we’re confident a regular run of games in a Premier League first team will see him come on leaps and bounds. David Moyes should be a good coach to develop him and get the best out of him, while Jack Grealish’s injury provides an instant opportunity to make an impact.
Given that, according to Romano’s information this deal was done and a medical booked way back on Sunday afternoon, it’s a bit of a mystery why it took until so late to wrap it up. But for Everton, George and even Chelsea, this seems like a good deal.
Axel Disasi completed a late night loan to West Ham from a similar deal sheet.
Tomorrow’s game against Arsenal has a lot of uncertainty around the lineups, and the fact that Liam Rosenior had to take his press conference early didn’t help that. You can read his comments about Estevao and Jamie Gittens in the post here.
