Durban City have announced the signing of Emmanual Jalai from Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Dynamos.

The 27-year-old spent six seasons at DeMabre, where he was captain of the team, making over 180 appearances for the club.

Dynamos confirmed that his no.2 jersey will be temporarily retired for the upcoming 2026 campaign - a testament to his contribution and grave importance.

Notably, Jalai was part of Zimbabwe's squad at the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, having made his Warriors' debut in March 2025.

Now, the right-back is set for a new chapter in the lucrative Betway Premiership, where he will work under recently appointed head coach Sinethemba Badela at City.

He becomes the third signing for the KwaZulu-Natal outfit in the ongoing window, following the arrival of Ronaldo Maarman and Siphiwe Mahlangu on loan from Sekhukhune United.
