Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have announced a pre-contract agreement with 26-year-old Christopher Lenz from Union Berlin, the left-back will join Adi Hütter’s side on a three-year contract in the summer when his Union Berlin contract expires.
“I see Eintracht as the next step in my development and I’m really looking forward to my time in Frankfurt,” said Lenz. “I got to play in front of a great crowd at the Alten Försterei and if you watched Eintracht’s games in the Europa League, then you know how passionate it gets here. The atmosphere and the fans are among the best in the world.”
Eintracht CEO Fredi Bobic added: “Christopher has proven in the last year and a half that he can play at the highest level in the Bundesliga. We’re very happy that we’ve been able to acquire such a high-quality player and good character on a free transfer. It’s an excellent signing for us from both a footballing and financial perspective.”
