Official: Emile Doucouré joins Genk until 2030
KRC Genk have officially announced the signing of Emile Doucouré from Beerschot. The Belgian-Malian goalkeeper has penned a long-term contract with the Belgian Pro League (Jupiler Pro League) side.
Emile Doucouré, 18, has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal. This agreement ties him to KRC Genk until the summer of 2030. The young keeper will join the first team straight away, training daily, but is set to make his initial appearances for Jong Genk, the club's reserve squad competing in the Belgian Challenger Pro League, the country's second division.
Emile Doucouré started his career at Berchem Sport as an outfield player before moving to KV Mechelen, where he transitioned to goalkeeper. In this new role, he made his debut in the Jupiler Pro League, the top tier of Belgian football.
