Liam Rosenior, out of work since his exit from Chelsea back in April, has been named the new manager of Paris FC.
Rosenior returns to Ligue 1 seven months after leaving. Prior to taking the job at Stamford Bridge, the Englishman had been the head coach at RC Strasbourg Alsace, who, in his only full season, he succeeded in guiding the club to the UEFA Europa Conference League.
He was appointed by Chelsea at the start of January following Enzo Maresca’s sudden exit. However, the Englishman managed just 23 games before seeing his eight-year deal cut short.
He now returns to management and returns to France. Rosenior has signed a x-year deal with Les Parisiens, replacing Antoine Kombouaré, who arrived back in February and guided the club away from the relegation zone.
Backed by the Arnault family, as well as Red Bull, who are also contributing expertise, it is an ambitious project at Paris FC, one that Rosenior will now spearhead until 2028. He will assume his functions from Thursday.
