It hasn’t been an easy start to the season for OGC Nice. Before the start of the Ligue 1 season, the club had already been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers by SL Benfica. Le Gym have also lost two of their first three Ligue 1 games, and are dealing with the consequences of what has been described as an “unpleasant” transfer window by sporting director Florian Maurice.
Evann Guessand and Marcin Bulka notably left, and the new arrivals are yet to truly find their feet. However, there is now some more positive news coming out of the club. Franck Haise’s future has been a point of uncertainty at the start of the season.
Haise joined from RC Lens last summer, signing a three-year deal. After persistent links with Stade Rennais last season, he opted to remain at Nice. However, there was uncertainty as to whether his long-term future would lie at the Allianz Riviera.
That speculation has now been put to bed with Haise putting pen to paper on a new deal that will run until 2029.
